What the Midtown Team say!

Over the years, there have been very few teachers who have captured the essence of progressive skill development for young aspiring tennis players. Most tennis professionals have been guilty of teaching young children based on a framework of strokes and games. Mike Barrell has taken a very different approach. He creates an environment in which the children learn a variety of general and specific reception and projection skills. His approach is based on very sound growth and development principles and it is characterized by the progressive accomplishment of age and level specific tasks. He communicates with clarity, wit and passion. His program is a must for anyone wanting to improve their teaching skills with young children.

Mike Barrell has successfully bridged the gap between teacher centered basket feeding and student centered Game Based Approach methodology. Mike makes every activity and game specific to physiological movement or skill development. His passion for growing the game is infectious.
